Noble Rot

Noble Rot is a small wine bar in Point Lonsdale that punches well above its weight. The wine list is excellent and genuinely interesting, leaning into natural and small-producer wines without being preachy about it. The food is the kind of thoughtful, well-executed small plates that make you order more than you planned to.

It is about a 20-minute drive from Barwon Heads. Worth combining with a wander around Point Lonsdale itself, which is a gorgeous little town. The lighthouse walk is a good one if you have time before dinner.

The space is cosy and intimate, so it works brilliantly as a date night if you can get a babysitter. It is not really a kids' venue, but that is part of its charm. This is one for the grown-ups.

Walk-ins only, so get there as soon as it opens to get a table. It is small and word has well and truly gotten out!
