Ming Terrace

Ming Terrace is the kind of place that should not work as well as it does. The decor is peak 1970s. There are lazy susans on the tables. The menu reads like every Chinese-Australian restaurant you went to as a kid. Not flash, yet absolutely brilliant.

The food is generous and exactly what you want after a day at the beach. The sweet and sour pork is a crowd favourite, the salt and pepper squid is reliably good, and the Peking duck is worth ordering if you are with a group.

The ocean views from the dining room add something special, especially at sunset. And the best part: it is BYO wine with no corkage (last time we checked). Grab a good bottle from the local bottle shop, and you have yourself one of the best value nights out on the Bellarine Peninsula.

It is about a 5-minute drive from Little George in Ocean Grove. Gets busy on weekends and holidays, so booking ahead is a good idea.
